Over 450 free concerts, art exhibitions, forums, talks and more as Youth Festival celebrates World Youth Day

Everything from rapping priests, interfaith dialogue, art exhibitions and discussions on sex, theology and the body will take place during the Youth Festival of World Youth Day Sydney 2008 (WYD08).

The international artistic Christian world will converge on WYD08 to showcase to thousands of pilgrims and Sydneysiders the joy, celebration and in-depth thirst for knowledge and discussion that the youth of today have.

Staged every day during the WYD08 week (15 - 20 July), the Youth Festival will take place in over 100 city locations from approximately 2pm - 10pm, except during major event times.

"The Youth Festival is an important part of World Youth Day, as this is where young people are centre-stage showcasing their talent and discussing their ideals," said WYD08 spokesman Fr Mark Podesta.
